At Paws Here we are committed to providing your pet with a complete and enjoyable vacation experience. In addition to safe and comfortable accommodations we provide a full service menu of supplementary services designed to pamper your pet like he never left home. Whether your pet craves excitement and activity or he’d rather just relax and enjoy his visit to the country ..we’ve got something for him.

Our professional and dedicated staff is on hand to indulge your dog’s desires.
Just like their owners, when pets go on holiday they want good food, lots of personal attention, fun activities and a chance to relax. So at Paws Here we offer guest services to fulfill all of those wishes. You can leave home content in the knowledge that your pets will be having the time of his life.
We offer our "puppy perks" and amenities on an ala carte basis and they can be combined to create a customized vacation package tailor made for your pet.
Guests designing vacation packages of 3 or more activities receive a 20% discount on services.

The Accommodations

At Paws Here we know each pet has different needs; that’s why we offer a variety of accommodations for you to choose from. Regardless of your choice, your pet’s safety and comfort are always our main concern. You’ll be able to leave home knowing your best friend is receiving the finest of care.
The following are brief descriptions of our guestrooms and boarding options. After visiting online, we hope you’ll come see us and give us a chance to show you around. If we can answer any questions or book a reservation please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to taking care of your pet like he's one of the family.

STANDARD
These comfortable accommodations are standard in name only!
Each spacious enclosure boasts indoor/outdoor access, solid panel dividers, and a cozy Kuranda dog bed. Of course, all rooms come with daily maid and room service and tons of attention from our dedicated staff.
Pets will find their quarters quite comfortable – on cold winter nights, our radiant in floor heat makes a stay at Paws Here feel toasty and warm. Hot summer days are no problem either; air conditioning, ceiling fans and continuous fresh air exchange turns even the hottest of days into cool comfort.
Pets will be able to take advantage of their stay in the country regardless of weather. Guests can stretch out in the shade or find shelter from the elements because the outdoor connected space for our Standard boarding is completely under roof.
Want to super size it? Extra large dogs or guests with big families can take advantage of our Deluxe Quarters. All the great amenities of our standard boarding with even more space. Deluxe enclosures are double in size both inside and out!

VIP
The VIP room was specifically designed with pampered pooches mind!
Cozy, quiet and comfortable – this area is the perfect spot for our special needs guests and dogs under 35 lbs. It’s location in the main administration building provides a pleasant atmosphere where smaller pets can relax in the company of other guests their own size. Each private suite comes equipped with handsome décor, area rugs and a comfy bed for snuggling. Satellite TV and plenty of attention will make it seem almost like being at home. Along with maid and room service, pets in VIP receive frequent visits to our courtyard
for a chance to stretch their legs and answer the call of nature.

Luxury
They say there’s no place like home – but the Luxury quarters at Paws Here are the next best thing!
We know when you need to be away from home you wish your dog didn’t have to. With a stay in our luxury suites your pet can have all the comforts he left behind.
Each private room comes complete with a human sized bed, fluffy covers, area rugs and satellite TV. Just for fun, we’ve designed each residence with it’s own unique décor. The “Lodge” has Bears and Moose – Oh my. The “Hunting Retreat” is our own little log cabin in the woods. Or you can let your pet’s wild side shine thru by booking the “Safari” suite.
Luxury accommodations are situated in a quiet little neighborhood in the west building of Paws Here. Suites line up on each side of a charming red brick lane complete with lamp post, park bench and trees. Glass front doors and a welcome mat will make it seem just like he’s sitting on his own front porch.
Of course there’s room and maid service as well as frequent walks to our courtyard and tons of personal attention.

Kitty Kondos
Paws Here is Cat country too. Built with a westerly exposure, our Cat Room is flooded with afternoon sun. There are even 2 big windows with deep sills for sitting. Guests enjoy a private 3 tier high rise apartment – big enough to house several members of the same family.
Of course, just like with our canine friends, our attentive staff will provide daily maid and room service.

Playtime Playtime offers both physical and mental stimulation for the active canine. Your dog can enjoy our country setting with a romp in one of our many play yards.
Paws Here has been carefully planned to provide an environment where dogs can get out often, stretch their legs and enjoy the fresh air, all while maintaining the highest standards of security and sanitation. Play yards have been thoughtfully constructed to insure your pets safety and comfort. Multiple layers of fencing provide protection and piece of mind.
Guests interested in playtime can choose from standard or interactive play.

Standard playtime allows your pet a 20 minute session for self play in a securely fenced area. Pets from the same family can share playtime -- with the second dog receiving a 50% discount.

Interactive Playtime provides a 20 minute one on one session with a member of the resort staff.
Each interactive playtime is catered to your dog’s individual needs and desires. Some dogs choose to play ball, engage in a game of tug, take a long walk or jog around the property and end with a stretch in the grass to soak up some sun. As with standard play, pets from the same family can enjoy joint interactive play. The second dog receives a 50% discount.

Play groups are organized by size and activity level. All participants must be current on vaccinations

Pet N Purr Though the name brings to mind the feline of the family, this service is for both Dogs and Cats! Pet N Purr gives your pet some personal snuggle time.
Relaxation at it’s best; your little one will receive a thorough rubdown, a couple of treats and a chance to unwind and connect with one of our friendly staff members.
This service is great for less active pets. It also suites older, special needs and more reserved guests too
Pet N Purr sessions are 15 minutes.

Gourmet Meals What is a vacation without some good food? In addition to the premium kibble we serve as the staple of each meal, guests can order up fresh cooked Chicken or Beef right from our kitchen. Tuna and Yogurt are on the menu as well. Nothing helps a pet unwind and settle in better than a good meal. Gourmet meals indulge your dogs palate and encourage him to eat heartily while at Paws Here.

Bedtime Snacks Each night we tuck our dogs in with a special treat. Let us pamper yours too!
The house specialty is our Homemade Liver Brownies -- they’re everyone’s favorite! They’re even available “ala mode” - with a yummy yogurt topping. We also serve Frosty Paws ™ doggie ice cream, Pupsicles (our secret recipe frozen treat) and premium dog cookies and biscuits.
Let your pet settle in for a cozy night at Paws Here with a delicious treat.

Busy Bones A fun and satisfying activity for most dogs is a good hearty chew! Good for the mind and good for the teeth. We offer Greenie™ brand chews, marrow bones (when available) and stuffed Kong™ toys for your dog’s chewing pleasure.
You can bring a Kong from home or purchase one in our doggie boutique and we’ll fill it with a yummy filling. Dogs work and work to lick out the tasty stuffing inside.
Marrow Bones can provide hours of chewing satisfaction. We provide center shank bones, uncooked to avoid breakage and splintering. Your dog can even take it home with him at the end of his stay.

Day Trip Check Out and Visitation If you’re visiting the Illinois Valley and staying at one of our local lodges or inns, we know you might want to include your pet in your own vacation plans. Paws Here is just minutes from Starved Rock State Park and Lodge, Grand Bear Lodge, Matthisen State Park, Catlin Park and Buffalo Rock. You can have the best of both worlds .. Include you pet in our outdoor activities and when you’re ready to dine or return to your lodge, bring your pet back to Paws Here for the balance of his stay. We provide this service complimentary one time per day, if you require multiple check outs within the same day there will be an additional charge. To ensure your pets comfort we ask that he be returned by supper time, hours for Day Trip Check out are 8am - 4pm.

Grooming Let your pet visit the spa while on holiday. A relaxing rubdown and massaging Hydrosurge™ bath will complete his vacation experience.
Our on site, Full service grooming salon will send your pet home looking his best.
The "Spa Bath" includes the Hydrosurge™ massaging bath, blow dry, nail clipping and routine ear cleaning.

Our experienced groomer is also available to provide your pet with the latest hair cut or stylish trim.
If shedding is your problem, we offer the Furminator ™ de-shedding treatment to reduce or eliminate unwanted hair in your home.
Please speak with our front desk staff or grooming representative to schedule an appointment for your dog or cat before departure.

The salon is open 6 days per week and appointments are taken daily. Your pet need not be registered at Paws Here to enjoy our salon. Everyone is welcome!

Pets who do stay at the resort 4 nights or more receive a complimentary Spa bath.*

Long coated or matted dogs may incur additional charges due to the condition of their coat. Please consult with our staff upon check in.
