Puppy FUNdamentals
Puppy FUN is a class designed to give young dogs the opportunity to learn and socialize in a Fun, low stress environment. Puppies will learn the basic skills necessary for becoming a happy, confident and well behaved member of the family. We employ positive training techniques and learning games that help your puppy acquire new skills, build confidence and more easily integrate into his new home.
Each week we introduce new lessons that teach basic obedience skills in a format tailored to a puppy's activity level and attention span.
Lessons include sit, down, come when called, walk on lead, socialization with people and pets, as well as general information and support on raising your puppy right.
All family members are encouraged to participate -- with careful parental supervision of children under 10 years of age.
Class designed for dogs up to 5 months of age at the beginning of the course
First class is owner orientation -- no dogs required
Class fee $75 for 6 week course
Class requirements:
Up to date shot record -- including Bordatella (Kennel cough)
Well fitting buckle collar and 4-6 foot lead
Senior
Puppy
This class is designed to give young dogs the opportunity to learn and socialize

Completion of Puppy Kindergarten and/or compatible level of training
Good Manners
This class is designed to teach dogs the skills of basic obedience. We will use positive training techniques to lay a firm foundation for an obedient dog. Good Manners class introduces the skills of sit, down, stay, basic recall and heeling on lead.
This class is designed for dog over 6 months of age.
Class fee $75 for 6 week course

Show Handling
This class is designed to provide in depth instruction on the art of showing your dog. It is a combination of lecture, demonstration and practical application. Show Handling provides lessons on basic ring procedure as well as instruction on stacking, stand for exam, proper movement and gaiting patterns, bite presentation, and beginning techniques for free baiting. Since the art of handling is an ongoing process this class is open to beginning, intermediate and advanced handlers, though no previous handling experience is necessary!!
This class will get you and your dog ready to enter the show ring.
Class fee $75 for 6 week course

Junior ShowmanshipThe Junior class is designed for kids under 17 years of age who are interested in participating in AKC or 4H junior showmanship classes and conformation. We will cover basic ring procedure and provide instruction on stacking, stand for exam, movement and gaiting patterns, bite examination and baiting techniques. In addition to in ring skills this class includes information on basic husbandry, canine anatomy, grooming and pet care.
Class fee is $40 for 6 week course

Show Collar and Lead (please contact Paws Here with questions concerning appropriate equipment)
Show Drop - InShow Drop - In is a class designed to offer the opportunity for handlers to socialize their dogs and familiarize them with ring procedure. During classes dogs will be examined and asked to execute basic gaiting patterns.
Class fee is $ 7.00 per dog
Handlers may train multiple dogs during the hour long class

Private Training Sessions
We realize that sometimes individual needs and behaviors are best addressed outside of a group setting. Private classes allow for more flexibility with scheduling, more concentrated instruction and lessons catered to the dogs individual behavior and training requirements. These classes provide a great environment for problem solving.
